Daylight Savings

My opinion on Daylight Savings....

I do not like Daylight Savings because I it makes me feel out of sorts.  This morning, I missed waking up to the shimmering sunlight, that warmed my face minutes before my alarm clock honked.  I missed a hour of sleep yesterday, so not quite feeling myself since I am drowsy.  While at work, I stayed late, not on purpose, but I thought it was much earlier than I thought, because of the sun still shining at 5:30.  My husband, late from work, because "he  probably thinks it's much earlier, like what I thought earlier," I told my kids.  Stepping in at 6:45 laughing, my husband told me just that.

This Daylight Savings is quite the trickster.

  1. I also missed the hour of sleep yesterday, but am loving the extra hour of sunlight in the evening. I just feels more like spring today!

  3. I am always such a downer about DST, but this spring, I decided to focus on feeling happier that we get an extra hour of daylight, instead of my usually whining about losing that hour of sleep. It actually worked today-we'll see if i go downhill as the week goes on!

  7. I agree with you! I cannot stand it ("they" say "extra hour"); I say I lost an hour! Today is was dark again in the morning, and tonight it feels like midnight even though it's only 8:30 pm. I haven't even started reading blogs yet! Down with DST, I say!

  8. I get it! My daughter's sleep has been off since we sprung forward. She woke up at 5 a.m. the past two mornings. (I can't make heads or tails of why she woke up earlier.)
